How did your meeting go have you got a coach yet. I hear you made an offer to Dave Perkins on Friday but he had to turn you down

Meeting went great, good turn out from senior players.

Very good response from the boys still to confirm coach.

20 prem squad players in gym tonight and spirits high

I think everyone is over Shane and we are happy it has resulted in very little fallout from the club.

Sometimes adversity helps to solidify a team and a lot of the boys are stepping up.

The coach situation has been interesting we have 5 coaches who have asked to be considered for team next year.

We have a very competitive team on paper, and recruitment has gone great, I personally will be disappointed if we cannot find a coach who will do justice to the quality of the team.

I think a few clubs in town would love to have our player base in there prem team.

Must admit there's a few coaches in town i would love to see with the club

so are you saying going ahead in 2010 without a coach??

You definately have a good team on paper, but a person pretending to be a prem coach could undo all the good work.

Short list on coaches down to 3 applicants we really want the right person for the team and the club

Dave Perkins was not an applicant you approached him so what does it say for the three applicants( you werent happy with them?)

Yes we did approach Dave asked if he would consider coaching team and have both approached others and been approached.

At this point have narrowed things down to 3 applicants from about 20

There's still a couple of local guys we wanted to catch up with but have not been able to track down yet

Cant be that happy with narrowed down 3 applicants as you have upped the other to Perky

All I've heard about Dave is he's a talented coach and very good on the technical side of the game.

I think his experience would have added to our club, be we respect he has commitments and wish him all the best for the season
