know that if you grapple wrong you will hurt a person and hurt the wrong person it wont be pretty (me knows even some of your own will jump in against the Lions)

funny that

But yeah SHane was a massive massive step in the right direction for the Lions IMO will be interesting who does come into the fray but in saying that i dont wanna see this being the reason IF cele are to not win this year

Looks like the referees this year will have to be watching the ruck area pretty closely then huh lol.

Good news on the coaching front considering several possibilities from NZ and further afield.

Just needing to get the right fit for the team and club

I agree with you lima.

Any regional body should be trying to always promote different facets of the game, and who better else than to get the best league minds in the current game to learn off.

Or atleast get decent coaching clinics coaches can attend.

Linwood Rugby League now have a similar relationship with the Canberra Raiders. Two players were sent over for a training camp in November 09 and two senior coaches have just returned from a week with the First Grade, NYC and SG Ball squads. We are currently in the process of identifying players for the next round of camp trials (15yrs). Great to see that there are now clear pathways for our Canterbury players i.e. Hornets/Sharks, Lions/Storm etc. CRFL have had a few NRL Clubs over in the past. The Raiders were over here last year but little interest shown from other clubs.

I heard that Mike Lynch was in the running for the Lions Coaching role as Sydenham weren't paying enough...

well i can confirm thats not true.

mike wasint doing his job at the club as the custodian. Several things went wrong so the board decided against asking him back he also incurred a fine last year for abusing the ref.

it has nothing to do with money.

plus we pretty much coached ourselves last year.

Sorry Ric I was joking about the "as Sydenham weren't paying enough..." part.

Guess you are right about the coaching themselves part from the games I watched..

Hey Ric,
Didn"t you coach them the year before Mike and you won about two games. If I recall correctly they won way more games last season when Mike was coaching them.
According to your first blog you were fielding two teams. Can you deliver on this brag, or is this the usual Swan bullshit.

Yeah it is harsh Coyote.
I have played for the Swans for a number of years and it is hard to see my old club talking the talk and not walking the walk. I was also involved with the womans side a number of years ago, a gr8 bunch of girls who played for the club, but they didn't conform to Barry Ball's dictatorship methods and as a result another team lost in the club.

Lions would be happy to have Mike on board he's always treated us good.

I think the game needs all the coaches we can get.

Mikes been a league supporter for a lot of years and Justin is a gutsy player

haha good one "max" lol...nah actually that was kyle hallett i played for prems/b's at tigers that year.

i guess its just the usual "max" bullshit. and yeah i know about last season i was there.

i finished the season with 22 trys and the best back award.

but you would already know that?

yeah i wish both of them all the best, its just better that the truth is out there so theres no rumours floating around.

as for having two teams we are trying our very hardest to get them out there, we have a new sponser a bunch of young players and alot of heart.

but in my opinion it doesint really matter what you say, its all about where YOU are come grand final day.

Hey Ric
Oh yeah thats right you started the season coaching at the Swans with Hallett and then went to the tigers. I hope stick with coaching the Swans this year. While I agree my opinion will not matter to you. I look forward to seeing the Swans out there on Grand Final day.
